My name is Jianjun Sun, a principal investigator at the University of Connecticut. I received my PhD from Florida State University in 2008 and did my postdoctoral training in Allan Spradling’s lab at Carnegie Institution for Science/Howard Hughes Medical Institute from 2008 to 2013. In 2013, I established my own lab in the Department of Physiology & Neurobiology, University of Connecticut, to study the reproductive physiology using the Drosophila model. The long-term goal of my research is centered on understanding follicular signaling network in ovulation and female reproductive tract secretions for ovulation, sperm storage, and fertilization.
