Neha Biju is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Biomedical Genetics at the University of Rochester Medical Center, New York. She earned her integrated BS-MS degree in Biology from IISER Kolkata, India. In 2023, she joined Dr. Martha Susiarjo's lab where she investigates gene-environment interactions, with a specific emphasis on tryptophan metabolism during pregnancy and its impact on maternal and fetal health. Her work aims to uncover critical epigenetic and metabolic factors during pregnancy and postpartum that shape future health outcomes. Neha plans to pursue a research career unravelling how early developmental events shape our future.
