Dr. Stephen Renaud is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at Western University in London, Canada. He earned his PhD from Queen’s University in Kingston and conducted post-doctoral training at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City before joining Western in 2015. Dr. Renaud specializes in placental development and its importance for fetal and infant health, using cell and animal models to explore the development and multilineage differentiation of placental trophoblasts. His research also explores how environmental stressors associated with deficient placentation alter trophoblast function and contribute to adverse pregnancy outcomes.
