Ph.D. Student
University of Kentucky
Lexington, Kentucky, United States
I am a Pharmacology Ph.D. student at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine (UKCOM) and a full-time Research Assistant Senior in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Pharmacology from the University of Kentucky, where I developed a strong foundation in biomedical sciences. My research focuses on reproductive toxicology, particularly how endocrine-disrupting chemicals impact ovarian function and fertility.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to receive recognition for my work, including the Society of Toxicology’s Best Paper Award and acknowledgments for high-impact publications in Molecular Reproduction and Development. I have presented my research at many national and international conferences, including multiple Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR) meetings. I have also had the opportunity to speak at specialized scientific seminars on endocrine disruption in Europe.
Mentorship is a significant part of my career, and I take pride in guiding undergraduates and first-year graduate students in research. I am also actively involved in leadership roles, including serving as Social Media Director for UKCOM’s Department of Pharmacology and Nutritional Sciences and the Women in Reproductive Sciences (WinRS) Committee within the SSR. Beyond the lab, I am passionate about science outreach and education, frequently judging scientific competitions and engaging in public service initiatives.
Through my research, mentorship, and outreach, I aim to contribute to the advancement of reproductive medicine while inspiring the next generation of researchers.
