I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) conducting research under the co-advisement of Dr. Angela K. Pannier (Biological Systems Engineering, UNL) and Dr. Jeremy R. Miles (Livestock Bio-Systems Research Unit, USMARC). Our work integrates tissue engineering and nanoparticle discovery approaches to investigate developmental constraints in porcine conceptus elongation. Currently, we are examining the temporal dynamics of extracellular vesicles (EVs) and their associated miRNA cargo at the maternal-embryo interface during conceptus elongation. By leveraging nano-flow cytometry and small RNA sequencing, we aim to characterize gestational stage-specific EV miRNA profiles and their potential roles in successful embryonic development.
