I completed DVM in 1984. During MPhil I became interested in Neuroendocrine mechanisms of puberty in dairy buffalo and later on in non-human primates. Following PhD, (focused on NDMA regulation of gonadotrophins), I started my career as an assistant professor at the Quaid-i-Azam University, in 1995. I escalated to associate professorship in 2004 and full professorship in 2007 in between I did postdocs in Nagoya (kei Maeda) and Pittsburgh (Tony Plant). I moved from QAU to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University but I am still involved with my senior students and colleagues at the QAU investigating GnIH regulation of the HPG-axis.
