Nardhy Gomez-Lopez, MSc, PhD, is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pathology and Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Her research focuses on maternal-fetal immunobiology, particularly the immune mechanisms underlying preterm birth.
Her lab integrates cellular immunology with single-cell and spatial omics, microbiome analysis, and systems biology to uncover disease pathways and develop strategies for diagnosis and prevention. Her work is supported by the NICHD, NIAID, NIBIB, the NIH Director’s Office, the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, and Ferring Pharmaceuticals. She has authored over 215 peer-reviewed publications and is internationally recognized for her contributions to the field of maternal-fetal immunobiology.
