I have been a member of SSR for more than 40 years and have been working on mammalian reproduction in both male and female systems. My ultimate goal is to develop non-hormonal contraceptives that can also function as microbicides. When administered into the female reproductive tract, they will protect women against unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections.
Our research has been funded by Canadian Institutes of Health Research. We were also fundec by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Ford Foundation and WHO.
