Dr. Álvaro López-Valiñas is a biologist with a Ph.D. in Medicine and Animal Health, specializing in influenza virus evolution. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Veterinary Anatomy at the University of Zurich, where he works primarily as a bioinformatician on two Swiss national projects in the field of reproductive biology. His research focuses on using high-throughput sequencing techniques to study the uterine bacterial composition in mares and the molecular dialogue between the embryo and the mother.
