My name is Ritvija Agrawal. I a postdoctoral fellow in the Hammoud Lab at the University of Michigan. Originally from India, I combine my expertise in biochemistry, cell biology, and genetics to study how protamine proteins shape sperm chromatin structure and influence fertility and embryonic development. I completed my PhD at Michigan, where I discovered the role of KASH5 as a dynein-activating adaptor critical for homolog pairing during meiosis. I passionate about mentorship, science communication, and unraveling the molecular mechanisms that drive complex biological processes.
