Kimberly Abt earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry from Brown University in 2024. At Brown, she conducted research on understanding the transcriptional regulatory mechanisms governing fetal oocyte development in mice in the lab of Dr. Richard Freiman. Kimberly is currently an IRTA postdoctoral fellow at the National Insititute of Enviromental Health Sciences in the lab of Dr. Humphrey Yao. She is passionate about investigating how environmental insults in utero affect the developing gonads and future reproductive health of offspring.
