Hailey Schultz is a PhD candidate in the Bernard Lab at McGill University. The Bernard Lab investigates molecular mechanisms of pituitary hormone synthesis and action using in vitro and in vivo approaches. Her research focuses on the transcriptional regulation of the gonadotropin beta subunit genes (Lhb and Fshb) and gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor (GnRHR) signaling. In particular, she has focused on understanding the function of the transcription factor ZEB1 and Gαs in LH synthesis and release. Hailey is a proud FIRbee ('24) and strives to extend her passion for the study of reproduction both throughout and beyond the scientific community.
