I'm Chao Wei, a Research Associate in Michigan State University. I am interested in PIWI-interacting RNAs (piRNAs), a class of small non-coding RNAs specially expressed in animal germline and essential for fertility. My research focuses on the functions and mechanisms of Tudor domain proteins and mitochondria-anchored proteins in piRNA biogenesis and germline genome defense.
