Tancia obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the University of the Virgin Islands where she majored in General Biology. She then went on to obtain her doctoral degree from the University of Sotuh Carolina - Columbia where her dissertation focused on the role of diet-dependent insulin signaling in the adipose tissue in controlling oogenesis under the advisement of Alissa Armstrong. Currently she is investigating the role of endometrial stroma PGR signaling in uterine homeostasis in the laboraory of Francesco DeMayo.
