Masters student
McGill University, Canada
Born in Montreal, QC., I did my CEGEP studies at Dawson College in Environmental Sciences and landed at McGill in Life Sciences for my Bachelor’s degree. I specialized in Animal Health and Disease, and during my last year, I was fortunate enough to join Dr Vilceu Bordignon’s lab to pursue my Honour’s studies. After which, I did my Undergraduate Student Research Award given by the National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) in the same lab, during which time I was lucky enough to participate in research in the Large Animal Research Unit involving pigs. Now, I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Animal Science, with my goal of veterinary school or PhD studies lying ahead of me. During my university studies, I worked at places such as Charles River Laboratories and the Hospital for Birds and Exotic Animals of Montreal to reinforce my passion for animals and veterinary science outside of school. I have been exposed to many opportunities and avenues for me to pursue research in the ever-growing domain of reproductive science, and my excitement to deepen the knowledge base and further the field is only growing.
