Research Assistant Professor
University of Kansas Medical Center
I am a researcher with an academic background in biotechnology and bioinformatics. During my doctoral studies, I worked on signaling mechanisms of folliculogenesis, preantral follicle cultures, oocyte maturation, and fertilization. During my post-doctoral studies, I gained extensive training and expertise in molecular biology, cell culture combined with computational approach to study the transcriptomics and signaling mechanisms in Esr2 and Kiss1 gene knockout rats and mice models. Later I started working on the role of RNA editing in the process of follicle development and ovulation. Now, I am focusing on a novel post- transcriptional events that regulate the periovulatory follicular development.
