Dr. Margeaux W. Marbrey works as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Reproductive Sciences, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Duke University School of Medicine. She examines how manufactured and natural toxicants and inhalants including cigarettes and electronic cigarettes impact mechanisms of pregnancy. The Marbrey Laboratory explores these mechanisms to 1.) identify the effects of toxicants on pregnancy establishment, maintenance, and fetal health and 2.) determine novel biological mechanisms for reproductive function. Conclusions from these studies promise to further knowledge on the factors that modulate pregnancy, resulting in preserved lives of mother and baby.
