Our lab looks at hormonal control of steroidogenesis in the ovary with emphasis on cholesterol trafficking and transcriptional regulation of the genes mediating steroidogenesis. We study cumulus cells as indicators of oocyte competence and embryo quality related to IVF. We also study cardiovascular extracellular matrix remodeling during pregnancy and the postpartum period and the effects of lactation in transgenic mice.
