I have previously worked on developing dietary-based therapies for pregnancy complications such as FGR and preeclampsia. I also have an interest in DoHAD, previously working on investigating the impact of prenatal immune activation on maternal health, the placenta and the health of the fetus and offspring in later life, with a focus on the propensity to develop neurodevelopmental disorders (PhD project). Currently, I am working on investigating the impact of prenatal opioid exposure on the mother, the placenta and also effects on fetal and postnatal brain development.
