PhD candidate
University of Illinois Urbana Champaign
I am a third year PhD candidate in Dr. Milan Bagchi's lab at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Our lab studies the interactions between maternal and extra-embryonic tissues to uncover how communication between different cell types influences pregnancy outcomes. I am currently investigating how endometrial stromal cells influence the phenotype of natural killer cells in the uterine microenvironment during pregnancy. My work involves the generation and analysis of high throughput genomic data with subsequent in vitro experiments to decode how specific maternal factors are responsible in maintaining the integrity of the maternal-fetal interface.
