Maria Camila Lopez was born in Bogota, Colombia, where she earned her veterinary degree from La Salle University. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Animal Sciences at the University of Florida, specializing in Reproductive Biotechnology. Her doctoral program is supported by a scholarship from the Colombian Ministry of Science and the University of Florida's College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. Maria Camila has experience in bovine in vitro fertilization (IVF), molecular diagnostics, and embryology. Her research interests focus on developing innovative luteolysis markers and pregnancy detection methods, such as cell-free DNA and extracellular vesicles.
