University of Michigan
I grew up in Tennessee, attended the University of Tennessee - Knoxville, then spent several years as an ancient DNA technician in David Reich's lab at Harvard Medical School. Now, I am working on my PhD in Jacob Mueller's lab at the University of Michigan. I am broadly interested in the evolution of germlines and sex chromosomes, and especially interested in the large X-linked palindromes and their connection to genes expressed in the male germline in mammals.
