graduate student
University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign
I have hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques including plasmid isolation, transformation, protein purification, PCR, gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, ELISA, MTT, and Dot blot assays. My work spans cell culture (including mESCs), FACS, qPCR, RNA/DNA isolation, and immunostaining. I have handled mice for immunization and in vitro differentiation studies. I worked on male infertility as a JRF under Dr. K. Thangaraj at CCMB, focusing on novel gene characterization (Hum Reprod, 2023). I later explored chromatin-associated RNAs (eLife, 2022; RNA Biol, 2024). Currently, in Dr. David Miller’s lab, I study gene function in infertility and species-specific sperm–oviduct interactions.
